02.04.2013 Queensryche delay tour to work on album |
|
Rockers Queensryche have postponed their upcoming UK tour to focus on the release of their new album.
The band, now fronted by Todd La Torre following Geoff Tate's departure, was due to perform a string of shows throughout the country next month as part of its Queensryche "Return To History" tour.
However, the rockers have now pushed back the dates until October to work on their upcoming record, which is set to be released in June.
A post on the group's Facebook.com page reads, "We know some fans are upset that we had to postpone some of the April dates. Queensryche never want to miss any chance to see and play for our fans around the world, but there are some things we have to do for our label in order to get the new record out to you in the time we promised...
"We as a band feel we have made some of the best music of our career and would put it out tomorrow if it was within our power for you all to hear. I do think our label would kill us if we did though. We will get back to Europe as soon as we can and are excited to play the classics as well as some of this new material for all our fans around the world!" Source: Ananova
