Noel Gallagher (Oasis) was taken to hospital after being attacked on stage by a fan in Canada.
While the band played ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’, a fan shoved Noel in the back, causing the guitarist to fall heavily onto his monitor speakers.
Minders quickly collared the man and visibly held Noel’s brother Liam back as he attempted to throw a punch at the attacker.
A spokesman for the band said Noel returned to play "despite his injuries" and went to hospital with "a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage" after Sunday’s gig (7 September) at Toronto Island Park.
The unnamed assailant has since been charged with assault. Source: Ananova
