Gucci Mane Teases New Music With OutKast, Lil Wayne & More
Gucci Mane has long built a reputation as one of the hardest-working rappers in the game, and following his release from federal prison in late May of this year, he's gotten right back to business. In a Snapchat video posted over the weekend, Gucci claimed to have recorded verses with Lil Wayne, Project Pat, Boosie Badazz, E-40 and OutKast, all in one day.
Slight work for Guwop, perhaps, but alarm bells went off for fans at the mention of OutKast. Big Boi and Andre 3000 haven't appeared together on a record since the 2007's collaborative record "International Players Anthem (I Choose You)" with UGK, and while the ATLiens' 2014 reunion tour sparked rumors of a new release, nothing has materialized so far. Lately, however, Three Stacks has been more active than usual with guest appearances on albums from Frank Ocean and Travi$ Scott, while Big never truly faded from the scene, having release two solo albums and a collaborative project with Phantogram in recent years.
So Gucci's assertion that he did a record for OutKast (as opposed to with OutKast) seems like it could be significant; or it could just be a slip of the tongue. After all, it's possible that any of these collabs could wind up on Gucci's own upcoming project, Woptober, which will be his second full-length release since becoming a free man once again.
After featuring just Young Thug, Kanye West and Drake on his comeback LP Everybody Looking, Gucci's been getting back in the saddle in terms of doling out verses, contributing to cuts from West, Dreezy, Rae Sremmurd, Kodak Black, DJ Khaled and more in recent months. But if he can get Andre and Big Boi back on the same track again for the first time in almost a decade, it could be his greatest accomplishment to date.
But before fans get too excited, Gucci's claim was tempered by a rep for Andre 3000, who tells Billboard, "There is no OutKast album in the works."
XXL captured the snap on Instagram.

Watch Joey Bada$$ Rap Kanye West's McDonald's Poem From Frank Ocean Zine
Kanye Westt's poem about McDonalds that he wrote for Frank Ocean's "Boys Don't Cry" zine is a pretty fun piece of literature on its own, but it really comes alive when read aloud.
Just ask Joey Bada$$, who lent his vocal prowess to Hot 97 to bring West's poem to life, rapping it a cappella for host Megan Ryte.
"McDonald's man / McDonald's man / The French fries had a plan / The French fries had a plan / The salad bar and the ketchup made a band / Cus the French Fries had a plan / The French fries had a plan / McDonald's man / McDonald's," the poem stars, before revealing - that the only Golden Arches menu item not jealous of the fries is "That smooth apple pie."
After the reading, Bada$$ praised the piece as "classic" and "Shakespearean."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's fans finally get to see what really happened during the couple's multi-million pound wedding.
The reality television star and rapper tied the knot in a private ceremony in the Italian city of Florence on Saturday.
Screaming fans flocked to the 16th century Fort Belvedere as hundreds of friends and family gathered for the extravagant wedding party.
One of the photos, obtained by E! News, shows the couple sharing a kiss in front of a wall covered in white flowers.
Many candid shots from the party were put on Twitter and Instagram by the couple's guests but these are the first official photos to be released.
Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli sang Con Te Partiro as 1970s US Olympic star Bruce Jenner - Kim's stepfather - walked the bride down the aisle, People magazine reported.

Lady Gaga receives record VMA nods
Lady GaGa is set to dominate the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) - the pop star has landed a record-breaking 13 nominations.
The "Poker Face" hitmaker haul marks the most ever VMA nominations scored by one artist in a single year.
Gaga has received nods in a string of different categories including Best Pop Video, Best Dance Music Video, Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Collaboration.
The delighted singer says, "I'm so honoured for all the little monsters (fans) and self-professed freaks of the universe to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number - 13.
"A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous (sic). Thank you, MTV!"
Gaga will compete against herself in for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the Video of the Year - her Video Phone collaboration with Beyonce will go head-to-head with Bad Romance in all three categories.
"Tik Tok" by Ke$ha, "California Gurls" by Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" will also compete for the Best Female Video award, while "California Gurls", "Tik Tok" and "Nothin' On You" by B.O.B. featuring Bruno Mars will also fight for the Best Pop Video honour.
Rap superstar Eminem, who landed eight nominations, will challenge Gaga for the coveted Video of the Year title with his single "Not Afraid", while the song will also battle for Best Male Video and Best Hip-Hop Video. Drake's star-studded "Forever", which features Eminem alongside Kanye West and Lil Wayne, is also a contender for Best Hip-Hop Video.
Meanwhile, Ke$ha's hit track has also scored the pop star a nod for the Best New Artist prize, going up against Justin Bieber ("Baby"), Jason Derulo ("In My Head"), Nicki Minaj ("Massive Attack") and Broken Bells ("The Ghost Inside").

Kanye proclaims himself "the voice of this generation"
Kanye West has revealed he believes he is "the voice of this generation."
The Chicago rapper, who releases his new album 808s and Heartbreak on 24 November, said he now understands the responsibilities of his "position in history".
He told Associated Press: "I realise that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation; of this decade, I will be the loudest voice.
"It's me settling into that position, of just really accepting that it's one thing to say you want to do it and it's another thing to really end up being like [iconic basketball player] Michael Jordan."
Kanye also took the time to criticise the work ethic of one man he feels could have rivaled him, in terms of influence, Justin Timberlake.
He sniped: "There were people who had the potential to do it but they went on vacation.

Go West with West
Evidently not content with the paltry size of his global empire, Kanye West has started up his own travel company.
From his official website, there is a hyperlink to kanyetravel.com, taking you to a site where you can pick up hotel deals, flights, cruise trips and vacation packages.
Although there are no obvious links with Kanye's gigs and tours just yet, it is expected that tie-ins will be made to coincide with West's huge Glow In The Dark tour which kicks off in Seattle on April 16.
Meanwhile, on Kanye's blog, the rapper has posted the new video for his forthcoming single, Homecoming, featuring Coldplay's Chris Martin.
It's a stylish black and white number, with Martin spending most of the video living it up as a silhouette. Source: Ananova

50c trounced as Kanye's best
Lightning has struck twice for 50 Cent after he was destroyed in the US album charts by rapping rival Kanye West.
Fiddy, real name Curtis Jackson, suffered a huge defeat in the UK album charts last Sunday (September 16) as his album Curtis was heavily outsold by Kanye's Graduation, and the same thing has happened across the Atlantic.
According to first week sales figures from Nielsen SoundScan, Graduation sold 957,000 copies in the six days leading up to September 16, nearly 300,000 more than Curtis, which sold just 691,000.
Speaking after the defeat, 50 refused to comment about whether he'd live up to his promise of retiring if he was beaten in the chart race, instead choosing to praise the big-selling battle, reports Gigwise.
"I am very excited to have participated in the one of the biggest album release weeks in the last two years," said 50.
It is usual for No 1 US albums to only sell around 100,000 copies, making this one of the biggest weeks in the recent history of the chart. Source: Ananova

Kanye: "Amy more valuable than Brit"
Kanye West has been complaining about Britney Spears' MTV VMAs performance again, declaring Amy Winehouse as a bigger and more important star.
The Chicago rapper appeared on American programme, The Ellen Degeneres Show, where he continued to berate Britney and bigged up Wino.
Kanye feels she was only there to grab ratings when they should have celebrated someone more important to the music industry.
He told Ellen: "There's only a couple of things important in music this year: Umbrella, Amy Winehouse. It's not just about me. Britney Spears is not important in music, but she's important to the tabloids and stuff like that." Source: Ananova

T.I. is the man of the moment with the BETs having earned himself nine nominations this year alone.

Kanye vows no more VMAs
Kanye West was so unhappy at not winning any MTV Video Music Awards that he has vowed not to attend the ceremony again.
Chicago rapper Kanye was nominated for five awards this year but walked away without a solitary prize.
According to the Daily Mirror, he said: "That's two years in a row, man, give a black man a chance."
He added: "I'm trying hard. I have the No 1 record, man."
Stronger hitmaker Kanye then said backstage that he would never attend the awards again, while onlookers were perhaps reminded of his embarrasment last year.
