T.I. Tells Lil Wayne to "Stop Embarrassing Yourself" Over Black Lives Matter Comments
T.I. is calling out Lil Wayne for the rapper’s controversial response to the Black Lives Matter movement in an interview that recently aired on ABC's Nightline. After viewing a video clip of the segment with his children, he wrote a long letter to Lil Wayne on Instagram that details their close relationship but confronts his “unacceptable” words. “You're disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy,” he said.
"I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothin' to do with me. I’m a young black rich motherf***er. If that don’t let you know that America understand black f***in' lives matter these days, I don't know what it is,” Lil Wayne had said on Nightline in response to a question about Black Lives Matter, the movement that formed in 2012 following the death of Trayvon Martin.
Lil Wayne later addressed his statement, giving more context about his mindset when the topic of BLM was brought up: "When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated," he told TMZ. "From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses."
In his Instagram note posted on Saturday (Nov. 7), T.I. wrote: “This is my son & daughter showing me this for the first time & asking me what you mean? I'm at a complete loss of words here.”
“Wayne I've known you over a decade,” he continued. “Our daughters grew up together practically. Reginae' spent countless times at my house with Niq-Niq when you were in prison & you extended my daughter the same courtesy when I was in the same position. Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition. I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still n---- U TRIPPING!!!!”
“I don't know what you goin thru,or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable!!!! You're disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy. You have children (including mines prior to now) that have looked up to you. You have sons & a daughter that depend upon your leadership. Bro if you don't stand for something out here, all the money, jewelry, cars, mansions bandannas & hit records don't mean shit!!!! Our people are being oppressed!!! We are being hunted, captured & slaughtered out here daily!!!” Tip said.
“You have to get outta that bubble that you've been living in & get out here & educate yourself on what's going on around US!!!” he wrote. “I'm always here to share whatever knowledge or understanding I may have to assist your growth & development, but u MUST STOP this buffoonery & coonin' you out here doin.”
“You looking like somebody who has something to gain or lose by pretending like it's not as bad as BLM making it seem & you're not aware of an issue that needs to be addressed. That's what would be considered ‘Uncle Tom Shit’.... I know U,YOURE BETTER THAN THIS!!!!! I've been proud to call myself a fan & a friend of Lil Wayne ,but if that must end in order to stand up for those who can't do it for themselves...So be it,” the rapper concluded. “If you're not prepared for a question in an interview, say No Comment Bro. But stop embarrassing yourself & everyone out here who's been supporting you. There is no middle ground. Oppression knows no neutral party, either you're part of the oppressed,or you with the oppressor. There is no such thing as oppression not affecting you. It's #USorELSE out here.” Source: BillBoard

Lil Wayne Says Birdman is "Not Family"
A decade after they released the "Like Father, Like Son" joint album, Lil Wayne and Birdman are not even on speaking terms. In fact, Weezy said emphatically in a recent interview that the man he used to call "daddy" is "not family." The ongoing financial dispute between the formerly supertight rappers has clearly put a major chill on their personal relationship.
In an interview with HipHollywood to promote his Rikers Island Diary "Gone 'Til November," Wayne (who has been signed to Birdman's Cash Money label his entire career) said he's no longer interested in "Stuntin' Like My Daddy." Asked if he thinks it's possible for them to mend their friendship in light of Wayne's $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money and the continued hold-up of the release of his Tha Carter V album, Weezy was very clear.
"I'm 34, baby, I'm too old for friends," he said when asked if the pair could patch things up. "No, his last name isn't Carter, baby. He's not family."
Check out the full interview
Wayne also addressed the confusion over tweets that made it seem like he was retiring when he referred to feeling "defenseless and mentally defeated" last month. "No I was retiring from using certain beats," he explained. "Don't worry about hearing me on them beats no more."

Gucci Mane Teases New Music With OutKast, Lil Wayne & More
Gucci Mane has long built a reputation as one of the hardest-working rappers in the game, and following his release from federal prison in late May of this year, he's gotten right back to business. In a Snapchat video posted over the weekend, Gucci claimed to have recorded verses with Lil Wayne, Project Pat, Boosie Badazz, E-40 and OutKast, all in one day.
Slight work for Guwop, perhaps, but alarm bells went off for fans at the mention of OutKast. Big Boi and Andre 3000 haven't appeared together on a record since the 2007's collaborative record "International Players Anthem (I Choose You)" with UGK, and while the ATLiens' 2014 reunion tour sparked rumors of a new release, nothing has materialized so far. Lately, however, Three Stacks has been more active than usual with guest appearances on albums from Frank Ocean and Travi$ Scott, while Big never truly faded from the scene, having release two solo albums and a collaborative project with Phantogram in recent years.
So Gucci's assertion that he did a record for OutKast (as opposed to with OutKast) seems like it could be significant; or it could just be a slip of the tongue. After all, it's possible that any of these collabs could wind up on Gucci's own upcoming project, Woptober, which will be his second full-length release since becoming a free man once again.
After featuring just Young Thug, Kanye West and Drake on his comeback LP Everybody Looking, Gucci's been getting back in the saddle in terms of doling out verses, contributing to cuts from West, Dreezy, Rae Sremmurd, Kodak Black, DJ Khaled and more in recent months. But if he can get Andre and Big Boi back on the same track again for the first time in almost a decade, it could be his greatest accomplishment to date.
But before fans get too excited, Gucci's claim was tempered by a rep for Andre 3000, who tells Billboard, "There is no OutKast album in the works."
XXL captured the snap on Instagram.

Lady Gaga receives record VMA nods
Lady GaGa is set to dominate the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) - the pop star has landed a record-breaking 13 nominations.
The "Poker Face" hitmaker haul marks the most ever VMA nominations scored by one artist in a single year.
Gaga has received nods in a string of different categories including Best Pop Video, Best Dance Music Video, Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Collaboration.
The delighted singer says, "I'm so honoured for all the little monsters (fans) and self-professed freaks of the universe to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number - 13.
"A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous (sic). Thank you, MTV!"
Gaga will compete against herself in for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the Video of the Year - her Video Phone collaboration with Beyonce will go head-to-head with Bad Romance in all three categories.
"Tik Tok" by Ke$ha, "California Gurls" by Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" will also compete for the Best Female Video award, while "California Gurls", "Tik Tok" and "Nothin' On You" by B.O.B. featuring Bruno Mars will also fight for the Best Pop Video honour.
Rap superstar Eminem, who landed eight nominations, will challenge Gaga for the coveted Video of the Year title with his single "Not Afraid", while the song will also battle for Best Male Video and Best Hip-Hop Video. Drake's star-studded "Forever", which features Eminem alongside Kanye West and Lil Wayne, is also a contender for Best Hip-Hop Video.
Meanwhile, Ke$ha's hit track has also scored the pop star a nod for the Best New Artist prize, going up against Justin Bieber ("Baby"), Jason Derulo ("In My Head"), Nicki Minaj ("Massive Attack") and Broken Bells ("The Ghost Inside").

Madonna's Celebration: Star Catches Elvis
It's celebration time for Madonna as she stands shoulder to shoulder with Elvis Presley in UK chart history.
Her compilation album Celebration has gone straight to number one in its first week of release.
It means the singer has had 11 number one albums in the UK - equalling the record held by Elvis.
Madonna now only lags behind The Beatles who have had 15 hit albums.
It further cements her place as the undisputed Queen of Pop, the most successful female solo artist of all time.
Madonna has had 13 number one singles in the UK, spent the most weeks at the top of the album charts and has charted the singles and album charts simultaneously four times.
Her recent "Sticky and Sweet" tour was also the highest grossing in history by a female artist.
Celebration brings together 36 tracks spanning Madonna's career so far.
It also includes Revolver, a newly recorded song featuring Lil Wayne.
There was some disappointment though as the singer's new single Celebration slipped five places from number three to number eight in the singles chart.
Madonna, 51, has managed to stay at the top of her game for the past three decades by continually reinventing herself and her music.
She first hit the big time in the early eighties, gaining global recognition with hits such as "Like A Virgin" and "True Blue".
The singer, who has been married twice, is currently dating 23-year-old Jesus Luz and according to reports wants to make him hubby number three.
She has previously been married to Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, whom she divorced last year. Source: Ananova
