09.11.2016 Bring Me the Horizon Announces 2017 North American Tour With Underoath & Beartooth |
 |
Bring Me The Horizon made a grand statement with its 2015 album That’s the Spirit, progressing from metalcore to more accessible, yet similarly enthralling modern rock. The British quintet will continue to tour behind its fifth studio album into 2017, announcing a run of North American dates on Monday (Nov. 7) with U.S. counterparts Underoath and Beartooth.
The 16-date American Nightmare tour hits the United States and Canada, beginning March 10 and concluding April 8. After the trek is through, frontman Oli Sykes has suggested BMTH will focus on crafting its sixth studio album.
BMTH’s next release (on Dec. 2) is a DVD/audio recording of a recent show they performed alongside a live orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall, with all proceeds going toward the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Back in September 2015, That’s the Spirit debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with 55,000 albums sold in its opening week, according to Nielsen Music. This marked Bring Me the Horizon’s biggest U.S. sales week yet, so the touring cycle behind the new album has indeed marked prosperous times for the band.
