"I welcome you my beloved son, I see you have brought the hallowed one! Oh blessed Lokena, I have longed for you. Your light will put an end to my solitude." "Back off, rotting corpse, she belongs not to you! Her wish is to have you killed, and so it shall be!" "But how came this to be, oh beloved son? How come you betray me after all I've done? I granted you power beyond that of gods, yet you offend me with such cruel words." "Despite your generous gifts, my love for her surpasses them. I will do her bidding and face you!" "Very well, you will pay the price for your ingratitude. I summon the champion of hell, Cauroth! Oh crusher of souls, turn this human to ashes!" From the molten depths it arises, the archdemon of fire. A horrid giant with a goatling's head wielding a spiked club of brimstone. Terrifying, yet I need not fear, for it is vulnerable to my wicked blade. Shaking the earth with every step, it breaths fire at my direction, yet I evade its stream of flames for as it shoots, its eyes are closed. Too slow, the archdemon was. Before its eyes were opened, I cut off its legs. The fallen giant I decapitate. "I praise you, dear son, for such a fabulous achievement! To slay an archdemon is glorious indeed! But enough of amusement, for your time has come. I will penetrate your mind and kill you from the inside." My soul is being drained, a familiar abyss consumes me. A distant light I see, the light of death? Will my story end this way? What is this?! How can this be? Suddenly I awaken. The spell was somehow broken and miraculously I was saved. I can't believe my eyes, Lokena intervenes! She overpowers Atrox and cruely grasps his throat. Something's wrong, Lokena's eyes are filled with malice as they meet mine. Grimly she smiles as she performs a dark spell. A vortex appears behind me, In a flash, it sucks me in. Has Lokena truly saved me, or has she just betrayed me? |
