Kazikly VoyvodaIn a land beyond the forestsA fearless man with no remorse Risen to power by the boyars As warlord to the Wallachian Hordes Bore the Name of Dracul As the Devil's son he was known With an iron resolution Against the Infidels stood alone With the banner of the Dragon Faced the Sultans of the East No mercy ever flourished From this foul and sinful beast On the hilltops by the castle His captives bound to die Sharpened poles thrust in their innards Facing upwards to the sky Nails in heads were driven, Impalement on the stake Regardless of religion, all shared the same fate Dracul's hand of Justice, swept throughout his lands Terror from the Tyrant, none escaped the Voivode's hands A feast of putrid corpses lay rotten in the sun From nobles down to peasants, all punished for what they've done Vlad arranged a banquet before the impaled and befouled And dined before the dying, as in pain they screamed and howled At the banks of the Arges River, the waters stained in red Upon reaching Dracul's realm, his foes in dread they fled For the sight they saw was sickening - Bodies hung on the city walls Headless and dismembered, as trophies of his wars A Last campaign was crafted To bring down the Dragon's reign To cross the vast Carpathians And the Impaler's land reclaim So, upon the field of battle As he looked down in a pool of blood His heart was pierced in vengeance Thus came to end Prince Vlad... Yet this deed remains uncertain Some say he conquered Death... And a pact was made with Satan And thus prolonged his final breath A gathering was thus dispatched To exhume the Impaler's vault Alas the tomb was empty And the reign of terror spread once more All feared Draculya's vengeance From beyond the mortal gates As peasants were corrupted To a realm beyond the grave Unnumbered deaths wrapped in mystery In this plague-infested land From monastrieries in the mountains To the Turkish kingdom of the sands Thus lives on the Voivode's legend Of the immortal Kazikly Bey That the Dark Prince of Wallachia Haunts his fortress to this day... |
