2005-02-16Beyonce prefers to keep romance private
Beyonce says she finds it easy keeping her romance with rapper Jay-Z private. The Destiny's Child singer has been in a relationship with Jay-Z for three years and never reveals details about their relationship to the press reports Contactmusic.com. She said: "Even in school I was private. It kept my name out of people's mouths. Not because I was ashamed of anything or because I wasn't passionate about whatever it was, like who I was dating, but because it seemed more pure when I treated it like it was sacred. "I don't mind being vulnerable, but people scrutinise celebrities and make up stories. Then when everyone in the world is talking about you, it makes things really hard - not normal. "That doesn't work for me because I'm a regular woman."

Beyonce Knowles says the current album may be Destiny's Child's last. Asked about the significance of their latest album's name Destiny fulfilled, she told the Hamburger Morgenpost: "First of all, it means we have reached more than we ever dreamed of. "But this album has cost us energy and, let's face it, we're not getting any younger. We want to have families and children. So it may be years until the next album - if we do one at all." Asked if she and Jay-Z are planning a wedding next year, she said: "I'm not even engaged, so there won't be a wedding soon. I insist on being engaged first! I hope we all find Mr Right, get married and have children", she added. "Ideally, we'd all do it at the same time, so the kids can grow up together."

2004-07-13Destiny's Child working on new album
Kelly Rowland says all three members of Destiny's Child are committed to the group. She's currently in the studio with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams working on their fourth album. Kelly told MTV: "It was a no-brainer that all of us wanted to do another DC record. That's where we started. That's the mould everything grew from and you can't just stray away from that. "I know all of us are so excited about this next record and we wouldn't have done the solo records if it wasn't for Destiny's Child records. "All of us have been in three different places, so there's a lot to talk about, a lot that's gone on, personally. I think it's important to talk about that on this new record, to put what we've been going through separately into the new record. "Beyonce will tell you the same thing. With fame comes people trying to split us up, make something out of nothing." The group are talking to producers Rockwilder, Kanye West and Rich Harrison for the album.

You can really feel the synergy. They're going to be phenomenal." Knowles adds that it was always part of his plan for the girls to go their own ways. Beyonce has enjoyed a successful solo career, while both Michelle and Kelly have had hit albums. "Each one of these ladies with their solo careers have been successful so they can bring back all their experiences," he says. "Now the band's got a different sound. It's a secret. "We have a six or seven-year plan and going their separate ways was always part of that strategy. You can't have a Destiny's Child album every year. Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles adds: "I'm so glad to see them back together again. When I heard them in the studio, it made me cry because they have grown so much."
