2007-12-06Hate Eternal announces new album title and track listing!
Tampa, FL’s very own Hate Eternal is back with the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2005 release I, Monarch, titled "Fury and Flames". This album will be the bands most diverse and emotionally fueled record to date due mainly in part to the passing of bassist and good friend Jared Anderson. Hate Eternal founder and vocalist/guitarist Erik Rutan recently did an interview with MTVnews.com where he stated, “Jared was one of my best friends, and his passing away really affected me and influenced this record a lot. It's a very dark and heavy record — not just heavy as in 'heavy metal,' but heavy-hearted as well." Go HERE to read the full article. "Fury and Flames" will feature cover art by Paul Romano (Mastodon, Animosity, Red Chord) and features the addition of new members Shaune Kelley as second guitarist and Jade Simonetto on drums. The addition of second guitarist Shaune means that this will be the first time Hate Eternal will be able to perform as a four piece live. Something fans will be able to experience on the first tour for "Fury and Flames" when the band heads out with label-mates Black Dahlia Murder. Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse fame stepped in on bass for the recording, but due to his insane schedule with Cannibal will not be able to tour with the band. "Fury and Flames" will be in stores and online everywhere on February 19th 2008. Fury and Flames track listing: 1. Hell Envenom 2. Whom Gods May Destroy 3. Para Bellum 4. Bringer of Storms 5. The Funerary March 6. Thus Salvation 7. Proclamation of the Damned 8. Fury Within 9. Tombeau (Le Tombeau De La Fureur et Des Flammes) 10. Coronach

2007-09-13Pre-order Lizzy Borden’s "Appointment with Death" now available!
Lizzy Borden’s latest metal masterpiece Appointment with Death is now available for pre-order at the low rate of $9.99 for just the CD, and $19.99 for the CD/T-Shirt package. Go HERE to place your pre-order now to get the low price before it goes up. The pre-order for "Appointment with Death" begins shipping on Friday, September 28, 2007. In order to guarantee arrival by the CD's official release date of October, 02, 2007 you must select the priority mail shipping method. This pre-sale ends on Thursday, September 27, 2007. "Appointment With Death", the latest Lizzy masterpiece, like all of Borden’s records, is a conceptual album about…well it’s about death, what else? “Oddly enough, writing eleven songs about death was no easy task for me; lyrically being graphic or grotesque would have been too easy, and being overly morbid would bring nothing new to the concept. I wrote this just like I have all of the other LB recordings, as a play or a movie. There is a beginning, middle and an end with the lead character taking us on a journey. Death is all around us, lurking, waiting to pounce, striking fear in the living and infecting us in many different ways, I tried to explore some of those ways in the most poetic way that I know how” commented Lizzy. The album includes a plethora of guest performances: George Lynch (Dokken/Lynch Mob), Dave Meniketti (Y&T), Corey Beaulieu (Trivium), Jonas Hansson (Silver Mountain), Eric Rutan (Hate Eternal/ex-Morbid Angel), Michael T. Ross (Angel/Hardline), Adam Cameron, Zane, and Marliese Quance. These aren’t simply guest performances, however. Each artist contributed something unique to complete the fatalistic tapestry that is "Appointment With Death". Track Listing 1. Abnormal 2. Appointment With Death 3. Live Forever 4. Bloody Tears 5. The Death Of Love 6. Tomorrow Never Comes 7. Under Your Skin 8. Perfect World (I Don't Wanna Live) 9. Somthin's Crawlin 10. (We Are) The Only Ones 11. The Darker Side

2005-07-05Into Eternity Check In From The Road
Guitarist/second vocalist Tim Roth of Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity has issued the following update on the band's currently touring activities: "We are in Regina for one more day. Our Sunday show in Regina was cancelled by the promoter. We contacted him for us and Krisiun to play, but he wasn't interested. Our Edmonton and Calgary shows are also cancelled by a different promoter, who is a good friend. He couldn't take a risk either with just two bands. Hate Eternal have had some van problems, so they have been cancelling some gigs. That in turn sort of messes up this tour. We are sorry to everyone who has been traveling to see us. You all RULE! "Our next shows are in Prince George and Vancouver....July 6th and 7th. Then we head into the USA again to continue the tour. Incantation will meet us in Seattle for sure! We hope that Hate Eternal will be as well. I'm sure they will make it and we all have faith. "The tour as of now has us opening again. All Shall Perish have gone home and they were doing that slot. They might make it to the California dates though. "Thanks to everyone for coming out to our shows. It's great to meet everyone." Into Eternity are touring in support of their critically acclaimed album, "Buried In Oblivion".

2003-07-29Great News For Arch Enemy Fans!
Here's an official Michael Amott™ update: South Korea: "First of all, we're proud to announce Arch Enemy will make their first ever appearance in Korea on Friday the 8th of August at The Busan International Rock Festival, on Daedepo Beach, South Korea. Arch Enemy are headlining. Other bands playing on the day are domestic Korean acts but also includes fellow Swedes Soilwork. This has been a long time coming. We were supposed to play in Korea a couple of years ago, but it didn’t happen, so it feels great that we are finally playing there now. We are very excited about going to this festival and exposing the Korean music fans to our brand of metal!" USA mini-tour: Arch Enemy will be doing a mini-tour of the U.S. in August/ September with Hate Eternal, Evergrey and Black Dahlia Murder as support acts. "Yes, we can put your minds to rest, we can confirm those ugly rumours! We thought it would be a good idea to come over and play a few shows in the U.S. around the release date of Anthems Of Rebellion [scheduled for North American release on August 26th]! It’s a cool package that’s been put together for these dates… something for everyone! We can’t play more shows right now in the U.S., as we will be on the road with Nevermore in Europe… But we will definitely be coming back for more later in the year!" The band extends a HUGE thanks to all the people who have been sending in their pictures. Their website's pictures section at http://www.archenemy.net/pictures has undergone a huge update. So huge it's MASSIVE. Keep sending in your pictures, but before you do, please read the "send-your-pictures-guidelines."

2003-07-23Morbid Angel Filming New Video
Veteran death metallers Morbid Angel are currently filming a video for the track "Enshrined by Grace" (song #2) from their upcoming "Heretic" album, due in the U.S. on September 23 (a day earlier internationally) through Earache Records. The band are planning to embark on an extensive world tour in early 2004 to promote the release. As previously reported, "Heretic" was recorded and mixed at D.O.W. (Diet Of Worms) studios in Seffner, Florida and was co-produced by the band and longtime front-of-house mixing engineer Juan "Punchy Gonzalez. The album — the group's ninth overall release (including their 1986 "Abominations Of Desolation" demo and the 1996 live album, "Entangled In Chaos") — marks a return to the fold of bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, who originally left the band in early April 2001 due to "personal and family problems." Tucker was temporarily replaced by Hate Eternal bassist/vocalist Jared Anderson but rejoined the band earlier this year amid rumors of a possible reunion with former vocalist David Vincent.
