Rapper Eminem has vowed to stop taking aim at his rumoured ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey in his songs following their public bust-up last year, insisting he's "done" with the topic.
The Not Afraid hitmaker waged a war of words against Carey and her husband Nick Cannon after the R&B beauty disputed his claims that they'd previously been romantically involved.
He hit out at the couple in tunes like Bagpipes from Baghdad and The Warning, in which he threatened to release voicemail messages he alleged Carey had left for him during their brief fling, while the singer retaliated by mimicking Eminem in the video for her single Obsessed and dubbing him "delusional" in the track's lyrics.
Eminem mentions Carey in passing once more on "Cold Wind Blows" from his latest album Recovery, but he insists that will be the last he ever raps about the voluptuous star.
He tells Vibe magazine, "I really don't want to talk about her anymore only just because it's kind of like the last thing I said about her was on Cold Wind Blows. I made the comment. I don't want to keep beating a dead horse. I'm not even going to comment about it. I'm done with that whole situation. I said what I had to say. I'm done." Source: Ananova

Eminem says Mariah Carey diss was misinterpreted
Rapper was trying to send best wishes to warbler
Eminem claims his aggressive lyrics about an alleged fling with Mariah Carey have been misunderstood by her husband, Nick Cannon.
"Bagpipes From Baghdad", a track from Em's new album Relapse, includes the lines: "Nick Cannon better back the f*** up/I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk/Nick Cannon, you pr***, I wish you luck with that f***in' whore."
Cannon responded with an angry blog earlier this month, writing: "This act of racist bigotry cannot go unnoticed. Calling my wife a 'c***' and a 'whore'... Trust, repercussions will be served."
But Eminem has defended his wordplay in an interview with Tim Westwood on BBC Radio 1, claiming: "It's a harsh line. But it's like this, the way I look at it, I had no idea he was gonna take it like he took it.
"I heard about some of the things he was saying. I didn't read his blog or anything. But it is what it is. He's supposed to defend his wife, and I expected him to do that."
He continued: "What I actually meant to say is, I wish them the best. That's what I meant to say. That's the whole message of the record."

Mariah bashed for diva antics
Mariah Carey's latest publicity trip to the UK has only served to increase her reputation as the world's finest diva.
Reports in today's tabloids (April 3) have hit out at the star - busy promoting new album E=mc2 - after she missed a number of early morning radio interviews yesterday (April 2) following some late-night party antics in London.
The singer had been out celebrating her new single, Touch My Body, hitting No 1 in the US Billboard charts - her 18th chart topper, equalling the success of Elvis Presley.
The Daily Mirror reports that Mariah cancelled her interview on Capital Radio because "she's not a morning person" and forced her appearance on BBC Radio 1 to be pushed back to today.
It also lists her demands for a £10,000 gym next to her hotel, a first class flight for her Jack Russell and a special attendant to pass her towels.
However, despite the busy schedule, Ms. Carey did make her appointment for a live chat with Orange users and even found time for an interview too.
Look out for it tomorrow evening (April 5) when it goes live on the mobile and broadband sites. Source: Ananova

Mariah CareyMariah Carey says she has hardly touched the reported Ј14m advance she received in a deal with Virgin Records in 2001.
According to IOL.com quoting Blender magazine she considers the cash an investment for the future so she can one day retire in style.
Meanwhile, she says she can't understand celebrities who spend their money on flashy cars.
She said: "I haven't bought a fleet of cars. I don't know about cars. I do have a Mercedes, but living in New York I don't care about what I roll in. For me, it's just a place to put my bag." Source: Ananova
