| 2008-05-14 | Turisas To Tour With Dragonforce | With a phenomenal start to 2008 after the incredibly successful second headlining UK tour as well as their first and as successful European headlining run with labelmates Norther - Turisas have confirmed that they will once again be gracing these shores after having been confirmed as main support on the autumn tour with UK heroes DragonForce.
Warlord Nygard had the following to say on the forthcoming tour “We just made it back from a very successful European tour which included an impressive 13 dates in the UK. We were really surprised how amazing the turnout was, with many of the UK shows selling out, considering we had only played one of the cities before. The crowds were crazy and now we're extremely pleased that we're able to come back in autumn to do it all over again. We’re joining up with Dragonforce on their UK tour and this something we're already hugely looking forward to. We are also extra excited about the shows in Ireland, which will be our first ones on the island that we've been unfortunate enough to miss out on previous tours. As you can imagine, Olli is sharpening his bow already as his one-man mission is about to reach its climax ... All in all, it's going to be a great package no-one should miss out on. Right now we’re just about to head out on a voyage to begin our assault on the US as part of the Paganfest .. so we’ll either see you at the summer festivals or in the autumn”

| 2007-09-18 | Turisas - Premiere "Rasputin" video clip! | It is truly something very special what infamous Finnish folk metal warriors Turisas unleash upon you now with the premiere of their fantastic new clip “Rasputin”, an insane cover version of the old Boney M. classic every fan should already recognise from their unforgettable live shows.
Band mastermind Warlord comments the clip as follows:
„This video is pretty far from what you'd expect from a TURISAS-video - or any metal video for that matter! The idea to the video is just as wild as the cover song itself: a battle metal band covering a 70's disco hit. Just as the song, it is a crossover of the 70's kitsch attached to the Boney M - track, but performed by us as we do it. Director Vesa-Matti Vainio and the whole crew did a great job on this one and to me, this is a good pick for our first video ever. I assure you, there are plenty of ideas on epic spectacles to be looked into later.”

Turisas’ version of “Rasputin” will be available on the “Rasputin” Single, which will hit stores on the following dates:

| 2007-06-13 | Turisas - in Finnish charts, dominating Rock Hard Festival and UK press | Not only did Finland’s Turisas play an amazing show at Germany’s Rock Hard Festival the past weekend with people dancing to their cover version of Boney M’s “Rasputin” and having a completely enthused crowd in front of the stage successfully chanting to the rest of the audience to get up from the stairs of Gelsenkirchen’s amphitheatre to their hit “Battle Metal”. Their Finland only single “To Holmgard And Beyond” went straight to the Finnish single charts on rank 13 and UK’s media is already raving about the new masterpiece from the six brave Norsemen. An Unmissable Event in London | Metal Hammer Magazine will be hosting a battle of epic proportions between four of metal’s best risings stars – and we’re going to turn them into raging bulls! Turisas, Deathstars, Breed 77 and The Zico Chain will play a history-making gig in a boxing ring in London’s Hammersmith Palais, in an attempt to win the hearts of a television audience and guest judges for ultimate heavyweight champion of metal!
The big fight will take place on 6th March 2007. Just in case you don’t know Turisas are the mighty Finnish viking metallers who gave us the phrase ‘battle metal’; Deathstars are the Swedish cyber goth metal crew who look like Marilyn Manson’s evil twins and drink like Zakk Wylde – carnage-erous; The Zico Chain are the London-based part-punk, part-sleaze, part metal trio who’s new album is cutting a swathe through all the lightweight indie shite; and Breed 77 are the stalwart Gibraltan metal heads who’s genre-spanning tunes are exciting a new breed of listener.
