2010-07-16 | Septic Flesh: New Album Update | Greek extreme metalers Septic Flesh are hard at work on material for their new album, tentatively due in early 2011. The recording process is scheduled to begin in August at the band's own newly built Devasoundz studios in Athens. Once again the orchestral parts will be recorded in Prague under the guidance of Chris Antoniou (Chaostar). This time, the band's effort "is bound to expand its dark and dreamy soundscapes and will be enhanced" by the mixing job of producer Pain/Hypocrisy mainman Peter Tägtgren.
Commented Septic Flesh: "The creation of the 10 songs that will appear on the next album is approaching the final stage. The musical result can be described as a great mass of emotional death. One of the dominant elements of the album is the use of the characteristic guitar melodies of the band in a more intense and dramatic way. In combination with the orchestral parts that will surpass everything else that the band has done in the past, the sound resembles to a funeral concerto. Actually, it appears that the whole atmosphere of the album is one step closer to the depths of Hades… Also, as actually Septic Flesh is in the wider sense an artistic dark experiment, the nightmarish visual world of Seth Siro Anton that is part of this experiment is going to be expanded towards extremity in order to 'dress' fittingly the soundscapes and the new mysterious lyrical thematology."
Necroterror Records, the Cyprus-based underground record label and distributor which specializes in high-quality black metal releases mainly in the vinyl format, released the 12" LP/box version of Septic Flesh's latest album, "Communion". Limited to 350 copies, this vinyl release features all-new alternative cover artwork and layout to the CD version, created by Seth Siro Anton. A special edition gold vinyl boxed set is also available containing several unique extras. Source: DarkSide.ru |

2009-09-01 | Dark Funeral: New Album Title Announced | Swedish black metalers Dark Funeral have set "Angelus Exuro pro Eternus" as the title of their new album, tentatively due on November 18. Guitarist Lord Ahriman states, "Peter Tägtgren [Hypocrisy, Pain] is currently mixing our new album at his Abyss Studios [in Pärlby, outside Ludvika, Sweden]. Once we have approved the final mix, Jonas Kjellgren [Scar Symmetry] will be mastering it."
He adds, "By listening to the rough mix, the final production will kill totally, no doubt! Can't wait to blast the final result in the stereo!
"We decided to go for a bit rawer sound this time, and not as crystal clear and perhaps polished as our last album ('Attera Totus Sanctus'), but no worries. The production still holds the high quality that you would come to expect from us. We haven't done "a Metallica", so to say!"
Dark Funeral shot a video for one of the new tracks, "My Funeral", over the August 21-23 weekend at the Abyss Studios. Lord Ahriman says, "The video was shot in and outside an old and closed mental hospital. The environment was just killer. And besides, it suited the video theme perfect!
"The video is currently under editing by Standard Film Team. And within the next two-three weeks it should be ready for world premiere. However, due to the graphic violence and somewhat gory nature of the video, I would assume that we will be forced to edit two versions, one soft and one hard core version. Exactly how and where we'll release them is yet to be decided though." Source: DarkSide.ru |
