2008-10-21	Rage: Victor Smolski racing to the top!
Rage guitar wizard Victor Smolski has just reached the second position at the Youngtimer Trophy Race in Spa, Belgium. The powerfully prepared M3-motor by Veytal Tuning really paid off - though Victor had a bit of a collision with another BMW at the start, the following laps went just perfect. With great enthusiam Victor's now heading to the Nordschleife circuit again, where he's going to fight his last race for this season. Source: NuclearBlast
2007-01-05	Rage to introduce new drummer
German metal institution Rage found a replacement for ex-drummer Mike Terrana quite quickly. "We proudly present our new man on the drums, André Hilgers. While working on the Nuclear Blast Anniversary album we were very surprised how perfectly André`s style matched our new song "Terrified". So it was obvious that we jammed through the RAGE classics, and the sparks were flying immediately. Andre had a lot of new ideas that fit our style perfectly and he brings a lot of fresh blood and power to the band. We have loads of fun again playing our music", Peavy and Victor had to say. The new drummer is equally thrilled: "Of course I was very happy regarding the request of the guys, and it’s a great honor belonging to RAGE now after drummers like Jörg Michael, Efti or Mike Terrana, lambasting the kettles. Meanwhile, we’ve started rehearsing and we will present you a great show in Illingen, with some real highlights of the RAGE history. I would like to wish Mike good luck with Masterplan and his next projects. As for me, he’s still a great drummer who was always raising the stakes for me", André Hilgers commented. 2006-12-12	Rage - split with Mike Terrana
Since a while there have been rumours about Mike leaving Rage (Ger), so now Peavy and Victor speak to the public: "From now on we won´t continue our collaboration with Mike because of personal and musical differences that have been existing for a while now and became unbearable. This cut is definitely not easy for us - but to avoid damage to RAGE we have no other choice. Unfortunately, there´s not much left from our former unity. A while ago comunication between Mike and us broke down completely, so we have to pull the emergency brake. We decided to work with a new drummer in the future because we don´t want to ruin it all to a point where there´s no future at all. We want to keep our power and joy in music, so there´s no other way. We are aware how much this line up meant to you (and us) but that´s life. A band, especially a three-piece, is like a relationship. Over the years we just drifted apart. We wish Mike all the best for his further career. Nevertheless, there`s a bright perspective in front of us: We definitely won´t cancel a single show and are working intensely at the moment to present you a suitable new drummer soon. We have lots of plans for the next year , among others we´ll play some exclusive orchestra shows for you.
