Sigur Ros have revealed they are secret metal-heads!
Frontman Jón Pór Birgisson may be renowned for singing beautiful melodies, but in his youth he was more likely to 'Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter' as a huge fan of, metal legends, Iron Maiden.
He told the Daily Mirror: "We met Maiden's Bruce Dickinson once on a show.
"He didn't believe we actually liked them, but I really did. I loved the energy, the power and the melodies."
But Jónsi attributes his initial interest in music to Liverpool's Fab Four.
He added: "My first memory of music is playing a Beatles album too fast on my parents' stereo. I used to love doing that - it's how I learned to play the guitar." Source: Ananova

Sigur Ros sing in English!
Icelandic favourites Sigur Ros are releasing their first song in English.
The song All Alright will appear on the less anglicised forthcoming album Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust, on June 23.
Singer Jon Thor Birgisson has previously sung in his native Icelandic or Hopelandic, their own made up language, making his lyrics incomprehensible to us Brits.
The new album was recorded in separate sessions in Iceland, London, New York and Cuba. It has been revealed that at least one song features more than 90 musicians on it.
Sigur Ros are confirmed for both the Latitude Festival, on Saturday July 19, and the Hydro Connect Festival, on Sunday August 31. Source: Ananova
