2008-03-04Timberlake came in Gnarls video
Justin Timberlake makes a special appearance in the video for Gnarls Barkley's comeback single, Run. Timberlake makes the cameo as Gnarls duo, Cee-Lo Green and Dangermouse, recreate the magic that saw them dominate the charts in 2006 with Crazy. In the light-hearted promo, JT uses his acting skills to play a geeky music TV presenter fronting an '80s style show on which Gnarls take to the stage. Despite the quality content, there is a chance that some fans won't get to watch the video, with the Daily Star reporting that it's been banned from UK screens due its use of strobe lighting. The eagerly anticipated Run is set to be released on March 24.

2007-10-12Take That's showdown gig
Take That performed an extravaganza opener of a show to kick off their Beautiful World tour last night (October 11). The fab four didn't disappoint the Belfast crowd as they as they took to the stage dressed as politicians and delivered a "Take That manifesto", before launching into Reach Out. During the show, Mark Owen blasted the crowd saying: "It's nice to have an audience, we've been rehearsing with nobody here - we thought no one was going to come." A mammoth 18-track set unfolded with the Mancunian lads running through material from their latest album, Beautiful World. But it was a Gnarls Barkley inspired rendition of Relight My Fire which really raised the temperature, with pint-sized Lulu was replaced by a 25-stone Gnarls-a-like called Lloyd Wade. Other highlights included new song Rule The World which soundtracks the Oscar-tipped movie Stardust and a rendition of Give Good Feeling with the lads donning new-rave fluorescent gear. It looks like Take That are Back For Good!
