Californian rockers Ratt have released the following statement:
"Ratt have been forced to cancel their upcoming European tour dates. Vocalist Stephen Pearcy will be undergoing urgent hernia surgery this week. The band regrets missing the European dates on the heels of the release of their first album in 11 years, 'Infestation', which enjoyed a high chart debut in European territories.
"Ratt shares this disappointment with all their European fans who planned to attend the shows at Sweden Rock, Sauna Open Air festival, U.K. Download, Hellfest, Graspop and Gods of Metal as well as their other dates. The band is looking into rescheduling as many of the shows as possible.

2010-01-26 | Edguy To Support Scorpions In Germany |
German melodic metalers Edguy will support the Scorpions on the German leg of their upcoming tour.
Comments Edguy frontman Tobias Sammet: "It is a real big honor for us to have been invited by the biggest German rock band ever to be the special guest on their German tour.
"The Scorpions have paved the way for all German bands, no matter if some bands want to admit it or not. They were the first band to break into all international markets with a bang and they underlined their larger-than-life status with countless great albums, mega hits and amazing shows.
"I will always remember a common show we played in Bulgaria when I was watching their entire set from the side of the stage and how impressed I was by their energy and enthusiasm for playing.
"I was honored and impressed by Klaus Meine (Scorpions frontman) vocal performance when he recorded some guest vocals for my forthcoming Avantasia album. He is one of the best and most unique rock singers the world will ever see.
"From a fan's point of view, it fills us with sadness to know that this will be the last chance for us to share the stage, but, as a band, we feel honored and we are looking forward to celebrating with them on their farewell tour and share the stage one last time. And as a fan, I am especially looking forward to be able to see their show seven more times from the side of the stage. "
