Classical singers Placido Domingo and Katherine Jenkins teamed up for a moving duet at the centenary show, the 36th attended by the Queen.

She was sparkling from head to toe," while her bandmate Cheryl Cole added, "The Queen is so delicate. She has hair like candy floss and tiny little dancing style shoes. Awww."
Meanwhile, New York native Keys was thrilled to play the show, insisting, "They showed me these amazing videos of different people performing at different times. Barbra Streisand I saw, Julie Andrews I saw. I mean, there's so many incredible legends who have been on this stage."

Rufus Wainwright, K'naan, Angelique Kidjo and Holly Cole also took to the stage, and Keys, who co-founded the Keep a Child Alive organisation to provide medicine to families with HIV and AIDS, hopes the gig will help raise awareness of the disease.
She says, "These are human beings. You put these numbers out there - 30 million dead, 33 million-plus infected, 16 million AIDS orphans - these are people, this isn't like some dot on a chart. It's hard. You get these statistics and numbers and you start to lose the soul of what we're really, really talking about.
"I think people get into their head that there's this need and you have to do this grand and huge thing for it to mean something and that's not the case. Even just your constant commitment, however small or big, that is something that is giving life to someone. If it was your brother, or your mother, or your sister, you would say, 'No, I'm not going to allow them to just die.'" Source: Ananova |

She will play Philippa Schuyler who was raised by a high society interracial couple who believed in the agricultural theory that crossing different gentic strains produced superior offspring.

The movie, based on the book Composition in Black and White by Kathryn Talalay will be produced by Halle Berry along with Marc Platt who worked as producer on Legally Blonde, reports the New York Post.
Schuyler was the only child of a black writer George Schuyler and white Texan artist and journalist Josephine Cogdell.

But despite her international fame, white America lost interest in her as an adult and she was never invited to play before the president of the United States.
