2010-07-02Winehouse to front supergroup
Amy Winehouse is forming a new supergroup with The Roots' drummer - Uestlove. "The Rehab" hitmaker is planning to make music with the hip-hop musician, along with producer Raphael Saadiq, who will be on guitar, according to ?uestlove, real name Ahmir Thompson. But Winehouse has so far been unable to move the plans forward - because she is struggling to obtain a visa to enter America to visit the record producer. The singer was previously denied entry to the U.S. for the 2008 Grammy Awards after she was arrested in October, 2007 when she was caught in possession of seven grammes of marijuana in Norway. But Thompson is adamant the band will soon begin work on new music: "The group will definitely happen. It's just the closest she can come to the States is Jamaica. I'm off to France soon so I'll see if she's up for discussing it over dinner. We're Skyping the s**t out of each other."

2009-12-09Amy and Blake back on?
Amy Winehouse has reportedly hooked up with her ex husband. Blake Fielder-Civil, who is undergoing rehab, divorced the singer just four months ago but has allegedly been seen sporting a new tattoo of her face on his hand. A friend of Amy's told The Sun: "The romance is back on and everyone is frantic with worry. "They have vowed to one another never to get back into drugs. But together they just went into self-destruct mode - and it was their separation that saved them." Amy's dad Mitch will not be pleased by the latest revelation as he blames Blake with introducing the singer to drugs. Blake's mum Georgette, 46, believes the pair will tie the knot again when he finishes rehab in February. She said: "He'll be straight back with Amy in London. I know it won't be long before I get a call from Blake saying, 'Mum, I'm at the airport and we're flying off to get married'."

2009-05-20Amy hospitalised
We thought Amy Winehouse's move to St. Lucia would prevent the star from getting into trouble and get her back on the straight and narrow. However, Amy has been hospitalised again after falling ill. It's the third time this year that the singer has had to be treated by the island's doctors. According to The Sun she was admitted after she fell ill at her villa following a drinking session, but was discharged later that night. It's unclear if she will be well enough to play her planned concert at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on 31 May. A source told the paper: "Amy's gig might as well be cancelled now. She's not going to make it. It's not worth her while even if she does make it, it will be a shambles. "She is not ready for it and she proved it at the festival." Last month she performed at St Lucia's jazz festival but was reportedly booed off stage after she forgot lyrics and stumbled her way through the performance. However, her spokesman said at the time she left stage because of the bad weather.

2008-10-27Amy Winehouse announces two new EPs and an LP
Amy Winehouse has revealed she has written a huge amount of new material, and has plans to record two EPs in addition to an album of new tracks. In a bizarre video interview now circulating the web, conducted via the singer’s home telecom system, a lucid Amy also tells her fans not to worry about her. She said: “Yeah, I’ve got to record [the new songs]. I’ve got about, I think, two EPs. I think it will become two EPs and an album. “Don’t worry about me, worry about yourselves. And promise me you’ll buy my album!” Asked why she missed the Rock En Seine Festival in Paris last August, Amy says her absence was due to a disagreement with her tour manager.

2008-07-10Amy Winehouse tells Ronson truth
Amy Winehouse has explained how she fell out with Mark Ronson over the recording of a potential James Bond theme. Rehab singer Amy also said how Pete Doherty reacted when she suggested the pair make a concept EP. Amy told Rolling Stone: "I played him [Ronson] tracks I liked, just getting the vibe, and he was like, 'Amy, come, let's work.' He was really uptight." Producer Ronson and Amy were in Oxford working on the aborted sessions for a theme tune for the next James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace. Amy said: "He left after three days and I was like, 'Breathe a sigh of relief, I'm in the country and I can write.'" Meanwhile, Londoner Amy was on similarly honest form discussing her attempts to work with Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty. She said: "I asked Pete to do a concept EP and he made this face, he looked at me like I'd pooed on the floor. He wouldn't do it."

2008-07-09Amy addicted to sunbeds
Amy Winehouse is probably more famous these days for her addictions than her actual singing. However, this time she has started an unusual addiction - to sunbeds. The Back to Black singer has had a sunbed installed in her Camden home and spends more than an hour a day trying to get a tan. According to The Sun a friend said: "Amy can't do anything by halves. Recently she has been going for it on the sunbed, but she won't be told. "She bought it to get rid of scabs that started appearing on her skin." The friend added: "Over the years Amy has been addicted to alcohol, all sorts of drugs, men and even knitting. This is another addiction that puts her health in danger. Why can't she take up squash or something?" Meanwhile, you'll never guess who has been round to Amy's to top up their tan - the very pasty Pete Doherty. He reportedly was straight round to Amy's flat to catch some rays - but he didn't fancy wearing the safety goggles and hurt his eyes. Doh! Pete the goggles are there for a reason. So, prepare to see Amy and Pete looking tangoed very very soon.

Fielder-Civil is in London's Pentonville Prison accused of GBH and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. She hit back at the booing, she said: "Let me tell you something. First of all, if you're booing you're a mug for buying a ticket. "Second to all the people booing - just wait till my husband gets out." Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse are heading to the studio for Amy's third album. Ronson produced Amy's mega-hit "Back To Black" and once they have finished their own tours, the music making partnership will continue. New York man Mark revealed to Rolling Stone the inner-workings of their songmaking process, saying: "She pretty much writes everything just her on the acoustic guitar. So she will come in with a song and it sounds kind of like a jazz standard. "I'll come up with the arrangement and maybe mess with the chords and beats and see what the guitars and bass will be doing." The music producer expects a change in sound for the new album adding: "It can't be like a sixties element or Motown. If anything, I'd really like to make it sound older or more morbid".
