2009-08-05 | Sugababes have swine flu | You won't be seeing the Sugababes at any gigs over the summer as the girls have been struck down with swine flu.
Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah have been told to stay at home and rest after they developed symptoms of the virus.
Keisha told the Daily Mirror: "I definitely don't have swine flu, but the other girls are ill with it.
"We've had to cancel all our events for the next week or so while the girls get better.
"I can't believe I know someone who has swine flu. I'm sure we'll laugh when it's over."
They were told to cancel all engagements for the next two weeks which means they've had to postpone a meeting with Jay-Z to talk about promoting their new single Get Sexy in the US.
They signed to his label Roc-a-fella in April and were looking forward to meeting him.
They've also had to cancel their appearance at Reading and Leeds Festivals at the weekend.
A source told the paper: "This is a massive blow to the girls. They were all geared up after their break to throw themselves into promoting the new material.
"But then Heidi fell ill and so did Amelle. They thought it was only a cold at first but they were so sick they couldn't even get off the couch, no matter how much they wanted to get back into work.
"The girls have been told by the doctor that they have all the symptoms of swine flu and they have been told to stay in, rest and stay away from people. "It means there is no way they will be able to meet up with Jay-Z while he is in town - it's too risky." Source: Ananova |
2008-10-27 | Tom Jones pardoned for Sugababes snub | Sugababes have said there are no hard feelings after being ignored by Tom Jones the the Q Awards after show party.
Heidi Range tried to greet the legendary Welsh crooner as he chatted with his friends in The Last Shadow Puppets and Stereophonics, but Tom apparently did his best to ignore her advances.
She told the Daily Star: "I don't think Tom is a nasty man and I am a big fan of 'Sex Bomb'.
"Sometimes you can take things the wrong way - maybe I annoyed him."

2008-10-21 | Sugababes reveal Mutya Buena's breakdown
| Sugababes have revealed that former member Mutya Buena’s departure from the girl group was sparked by a breakdown.
Keisha Buchanan has said she can relate to Britney Spears’s mum Lynne, who felt shut out of her daughter’s life when she began to show signs of caving under the pressure of the public spotlight in 2007.
She told the Daily Star: “We know how that feels.
“When you try to get through to someone who’s going through a bad time and they cut you out, there’s nothing you can do.”
Mutya announced her exit from the band in late 2005, stating “personal reasons”, and Keisha’s bandmate, Heidi Range, said she has not been able to contact the singer since.
She said: “I haven’t spoken to her since she left. She really hurt me.”

2007-09-20 | Sugababes shocked by rumours | Amelle Berrabah from Sugababes is shocked by reports that she's leaving the band.
Amelle replaced Mutya Buena in 2005 and is constantly subjected to rumours that she's being booted out of the girl group.
The 23 year-old told the Daily Star: "What's shocked me most is how brutal people can be. I'm just trying to keep my head down and get on with it."
Fellow band member Heidi Range, who replaced Siobhan Donaghy in 2001, points out: "Keisha's been in Sugababes for 10 years - that's how long the band's been going.
"The fact that two girls have left in ten years isn't a big deal. Think about any other job and people leave all the time." Source: Ananova |
2007-09-19 | 'Babe is a wrack of nerves | Amelle Berrabah says she is full of nerves ahead of the release of her first studio album as part of the Sugababes.
Berrabah, who joined the girls in December 2005 as a replacement for Mutya Buena, has only previously re-recorded vocals on old tracks by the group, and not had a creative hand in new material... until now.
Speaking about the forthcoming Change album, Berrabah told MTV: "I'm really nervous as it's the first album with me and the girls which we made from scratch.
"I'm really proud of what we've done, we've wrote a hell of a lot on this album, I've got a lot of stuff off my chest."
Rumours have been flying that Berrabah was on her way out of the 'Babes, but it looks to have been nothing more than gossip with bandmate Keisha Buchanan insisting that they are all "still having a lot of fun."
