Leona Lewis escaped injury on the opening night of her tour - after she fell down an elevator shaft.
The Bleeding Love hitmaker was performing to fans in Sheffield on Friday, and was using a hydraulic lift to transport her to and from the stage.
But the platform malfunctioned and failed to move upwards for Lewis to stand on - and she plunged several feet when she stepped into the opening of the shaft.
The singer was unhurt, but badly shaken up by the incident.
She tells The Sun, "When I fell down the lift shaft it was a bit scary. I was lucky not to get injured. Fortunately it happened during a blackout on set so it didn't affect the show and none of the audience saw anything. I got a shock and had to be rescued." Source: Ananova

Leona canes Monkeys' record
Leona Lewis has broken Arctic Monkeys' record for the fastest selling debut album of all time in Britain.
The 2006 X Factor winner stormed the album charts on Sunday (November 18), as her debut Spirit went straight to No 1 in the album charts shifting an incredible 375,000 copies in its first week.
Bleeding Love singer Leona outsold the Arctics' record by over 12,000 sales for their inaugural effort Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not.
Hackney-born Leona must have been popping the champagne last night as she had a double celebration with Bleeding Love topping the singles chart for the fourth consecutive week.
The news comes after X Factor mogul Simon Cowell expressed his disappointment at the current crop of X Factor finalists on Saturday (November 17). Source: Ananova
