"We're hugely excited about this tour," says bassist Steve Harris. "I think the fans will really like the brand new stage production — Eddie has changed a bit for this tour but is possibly the most outrageous one to date. 2009-09-07 | Europe: "Love In Town" Video Released | "New Love In Town", the new video from Swedish hard rockers Europe, can be viewed here. Europe will be Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, September 11 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio program, dubbed "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the broadcast live via the Internet between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.
"Last Look At Eden", the new album from Europe, will be released in Germany on September 18 via earMUSIC/Edel Germany GmbH. The CD will be issued in the U.K. on September 14.
"Last Look At Eden" track listing:
01. Prelude
02. Last Look at Eden
03. Gonna Get Ready
04. Catch that Plane
05. New Love in Town
06. The Beast

From the epic title track to the melodic ballad "New Love in Town", this album is on another level, less extreme than previous offering, 2006's "Secret Society", and with matured sound, "Last Look at Eden" is a mix of all the elements that have made EUROPE famous the world over.
Commented singer Joey Tempest: "This time we're taking a new direction with our songs, and we're exploring different styles. There is a definite classic rock vibe on several tracks on this album — a tip of the hat to groovin', funkin' '70s rock songs, with a modern twist."
He added: "We've got a couple of great ballads, plus some thundering rock tracks that will put you flat on your ass! We've taken the best bits from our recent albums and taken it to a new level 'Last Look at Eden' is more of a EUROPE album than 'Secret Society' or 'Start From The Dark'. We had to make those albums in order to do this." Source: DarkSide.ru |

He told the Daily Mirror: "We met Maiden's Bruce Dickinson once on a show.
"He didn't believe we actually liked them, but I really did. I loved the energy, the power and the melodies."
But Jónsi attributes his initial interest in music to Liverpool's Fab Four.
He added: "My first memory of music is playing a Beatles album too fast on my parents' stereo. I used to love doing that - it's how I learned to play the guitar." Source: Ananova |

2004-06-21 | Knight to shock fans with new rock sound | Beverley Knight says fans are going to be shocked by her new rock sound after taking inspiration from Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin.
The R'n'B star releases her new single Come As You Are this week, after an absence of nearly two years. Her fourth album Affirmation is due out on June 28.
"I thought, 'I'm a Midlander'. It's the home of Iron Maiden and Led Zepplin. I grew up with rock music so it was time to bring that into my music," she said.
"I'm excited because the album has a very different kind of sound to what people are expecting. I thought 'aha, you don't know what's coming'."
Beverley says she's looking forward to getting back on the road and is planning a tour later this year.
"I will be doing the V Festival. It's going to be great especially as Massive Attack and N.E.R.D are on the bill. Then, I'm doing a one-off show at Somerset House on August 7 which will be astonishing. It's all going on."
Beverley says that although she wants her music to dominate every corner of the globe, she isn't planning on becoming the next J-Lo.
"I can't act for anything, I can act up, but I think going to leave the mass media stardom to those who can do it. I'm a musician from beginning to end.
"I'm aspiring to be someone who has a sound to her name rather than being in a genre or a box." Source: Ananova |
