Into Eternity Check In From The Road
Guitarist/second vocalist Tim Roth of Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity has issued the following update on the band's currently touring activities:
"We are in Regina for one more day. Our Sunday show in Regina was cancelled by the promoter. We contacted him for us and Krisiun to play, but he wasn't interested. Our Edmonton and Calgary shows are also cancelled by a different promoter, who is a good friend. He couldn't take a risk either with just two bands. Hate Eternal have had some van problems, so they have been cancelling some gigs. That in turn sort of messes up this tour. We are sorry to everyone who has been traveling to see us. You all RULE!
"Our next shows are in Prince George and Vancouver....July 6th and 7th. Then we head into the USA again to continue the tour. Incantation will meet us in Seattle for sure! We hope that Hate Eternal will be as well. I'm sure they will make it and we all have faith.
"The tour as of now has us opening again. All Shall Perish have gone home and they were doing that slot. They might make it to the California dates though.
"Thanks to everyone for coming out to our shows. It's great to meet everyone."

Cryptopsy To Get "Really Intense" On Next Album
Canadian technical death metallers Cryptopsy are currently hard at work writing new material for their upcoming fifth studio album — the group's first with new vocalist Martin Lacroix (ex-SPASME). The as-yet-untitled effort will be recorded at Wild Studio in St-Zenon, Quebec, Canada with producer Pierre Rémillard (Kataklysm, Gorguts, Krisiun) and is tentatively set for an early 2004 release through Century Media Records.
Guitarist Alex Auburn recently checked in with the following report on the group's songwriting process:
"We just finished the seventh song for the album. The new stuff is really intense so far, well-balanced between all instruments leaving enough room for each instrument to have its space when we record. We will be doing one or two more songs and that's it. All of the songs are very different because everybody in the band wrote a lot. Studio time is booked for October and November. We are also set to headline the first huge metal festival in Australia on August 22nd alongside Marduk, Doro and Sodom among others. No other shows outside of Australia are currently scheduled due to time constraints and us having to continue writing." Source: BlabberMouth
