Prince's Family Announce Date for Official Tribute Concert
Prince's family says an official tribute concert honoring the late icon will take place in October in the singer's hometown of Minneapolis.
In a statement to The Associated Press on Thursday, Prince's family said the concert will be held on Oct. 13 at the U.S. Bank Stadium. Performers will soon be announced on a rolling basis. Tickets will go on sale next month.
Prince died April 21 of a drug overdose. The Purple One's brothers and sisters said in a joint statement that they "have been moved by the tremendous love and support of Prince's friends and fans around the world."

"We are honored by the artists who will pay tribute and grateful to those that have worked so hard to make this celebration possible."
Since Prince's death, countless performers have paid tribute to the entertainer. Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks have covered his songs during their live shows, and Madonna sang "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "Purple Rain" — with the help of Stevie Wonder — at the Billboard Music Awards in May.
BET dedicated much of its awards show last month to Prince with performances from Sheila E., The Roots, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Maxwell, Bilal, Tori Kelly, Wonder and Prince's ex-wife, Mayte Garcia. Source: BillBoard

Officials at the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control, which grants licences for travel to Cuba, do not comment on individual cases, but a source tells Reuters the Crazy In Love hitmakers obtained the proper authorisation before taking off.
The insider adds that Beyonce and Jay-Z's trek was a "people-to-people" cultural visit.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker haul marks the most ever VMA nominations scored by one artist in a single year.
Gaga has received nods in a string of different categories including Best Pop Video, Best Dance Music Video, Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Collaboration.
The delighted singer says, "I'm so honoured for all the little monsters (fans) and self-professed freaks of the universe to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number - 13.
"A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous (sic). Thank you, MTV!"
Gaga will compete against herself in for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the Video of the Year - her Video Phone collaboration with Beyonce will go head-to-head with Bad Romance in all three categories.

Beyonce heading for X Factor
The stars seem to be falling over themselves to sing alongside Britain's latest bunch of Steve Brookstein wannabes on The X Factor.
The Daily Star reports today that Simon Cowell's people have had none other than Beyonce on the blower in an attempt to line her up for an appearance in this year's final.
Resurrected boy band Take That are also in talks to appear on the show. "Simon Cowell wants to end the series on a high with two of the world's biggest pop acts," said an X Factor insider. "Last year we had Kylie and Katherine Jenkins performing duets with Leon and Rhydian, and this year we want Beyoncé and Take That. It'll be the hottest ticket in town."
They're not wrong. But that's not all: as we've previously reported, the new, fresh-faced and booze-free Britney Spears 2.0 is also going to put in an appearance on the show later in the year. "I've always said this about Britney - that she's a hugely talented person. Everyone wants to work with her because she's a star," cooed Simon at the time.
"The fact that she goes a bit crazy occasionally makes her more interesting," he added. "If she wants to shave her head before she comes on the show, she's welcome to. I don't care." Source: Ananova

Beyonce and Jay-Z to marry!
Apparently Beyonce and long-term boyfriend Jay-Z are set to marry.
The pair – who've been seeing each other since 2002 – were spotted at New York's Scarsdale Village Hall picking up a marriage license, which will be valid for 60 days. But according to some sources, the wedding is to take place… tomorrow!
"It was just the two of them," said an eyewitness. "They were very polite and smiling as they filled out the paperwork. They were holding hands for a while. They looked really happy."
Aw. Beyoncé, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, have been pretty tight-lipped about their relationship, which has inevitably prompted bucketloads of speculation about when they would tie the knot. "One day soon – let's leave it at that," said Jay-Z last year.
"I don't know when I'll want to get married," the former Destiny's Child singer told Cosmopolitan back in January 2006. "I never pictured myself as a bride, but after my sister's wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I'd want. I don't think I want a big one."
And speaking to InStyle magazine the following December, she said: "You can't rush a man into anything – whether it's a relationship, marriage or having children."

Jay-Z denies marriage reports
Jay-Z has denied reports that he has tied the knot with girlfriend Beyonce.
The glamourous music pair were in Paris at the start of December to celebrate the rapper's 38th birthday and world news agencies were convinced that the couple wed in secret during their stay.
Fuel to the fire was added when the pair were spotted with matching tattoos on their fingers - apparently replacements for wedding rings - but Jay, real-name Shaun Carter - has scotched suggestions of marriage.
A representative for the 99 Problems star simply told All Hip Hop: "They are not married."

The Bootylicious singer will perform at the Grand Stage in Shanghai according to the tour listings posted on her website.

Q-Tip and Floetry guest star on the album, which Solange insists isn't a Beyonce knock-off.

Blunt in songwriting diss
James Blunt has slurred his former songwriting partner on his new album.
Blunt and Amanda Ghost penned his No 1 smash, You're Beautiful, but have since disbanded and the former army captain has attacked Ghost on new song, Annie, which is taken from his latest album, All Lost Souls.
James sings: "Annie you had your dream on the bright lights/ You're just not going very far. Your dreams are crumbling."
Going by these lyrics, a music industry insider insists the track is about Ghost, telling Female First: "Amanda did once see herself as a pop star, but that was years ago and it seems like a mean spirited attack on a woman to whom he owes a great deal, if not his whole career."
Ghost has since hit back at the slur saying: "I'd hardly have said my dreams were 'crumbling.' James has had one No 1 hit, but I've since gone on to have two more."
Amanda was the co-writer behind the huge worldwide chart success of Beyonce and Shakira's No 1 smash Beautiful Liar. Source: Ananova

Beyonce: sexy when she's messy
Beyonce says she feels sexy when she's in bare feet and her hair is a mess!
The singer says she relaxes when she's at home and the way she looks at home is a long way from the glamourous sex kitten she is on stage.
"I like to walk around my house with bare feet and messy hair, but that can be sexy too," she told Cosmopolitan magazine. "I have an old-fashioned view on sexuality, in that I don't think it should be in your face. I'm the opposite of who I am on stage."
The 25 year-old also revealed that she used to take part in beauty pageants - but never won because she dressed down.
"We all have insecurities and, to this day, I see plenty of things wrong with myself," she said. "As a young girl I did beauty pageants, but I hated them. I always wore baggy clothes and never won. I was a bit of a tomboy when I was a kid and never really thought of myself as pretty."

Beyonce prefers to keep romance private
Beyonce says she finds it easy keeping her romance with rapper Jay-Z private.
The Destiny's Child singer has been in a relationship with Jay-Z for three years and never reveals details about their relationship to the press reports Contactmusic.com.
She said: "Even in school I was private. It kept my name out of people's mouths. Not because I was ashamed of anything or because I wasn't passionate about whatever it was, like who I was dating, but because it seemed more pure when I treated it like it was sacred.
"I don't mind being vulnerable, but people scrutinise celebrities and make up stories. Then when everyone in the world is talking about you, it makes things really hard - not normal.
"That doesn't work for me because I'm a regular woman." Source: Ananova
