Groove Armada are to cover Madonna's '80s hit, Crazy For You.
The dance duo have re-worked Madge's classic track as part of BBC Radio 1's 40th anniversary celebrations where a host of artists have chosen a track from each year since the station launched in 1967.
Explaining to the BBC why he picked the track, GA's Tom Findlay said: "It was a good time for me, early teenage years and good memories of slow dancing girls at school discos and snogging birds in braces and stuff so it's all good things."
Frontman Alan Donohoe from the Rakes was pulled in to lay down the vocals on the cover which the Superstylin' hitmakers say they have changed to get a feeling of a lonely guy in a bedsit.
Of the finished result, Tom said: "I'm really proud of it. I really stand up for it and I can't wait to hear and see if anyone else's are better than ours."
Other stars to have taken part in the cover celebrations include Kasabian with the Specials' Too Much Too Young, Klaxon's with Blackstreet's No Diggity and Kylie with Love Is The Drug by Roxy Music. Source: Ananova
