2016-09-23 | Miley Cyrus Joins the "Leave Corey Feldman Alone" Movement After "Today" Show Backlash | Further contributing to what has surely become the least-predictable pop star cause celebre of late 2016, on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 22), Miley Cyrus became the latest to defend actor Corey Feldman. Adding her voice to a chorus that already includes P!nk and Ke$ha, Miley took to Instagram to support Feldman's unconventional (and unexpectedly viral) performance on Today last week.
"Haters gonna Hate! Lovers always gonna Love!" writes Cyrus. "Thank you and your angels for sharing your music with us! Please enjoy life and continue to make art!" Cyrus goes on to urge Feldman to ignore his more vocal critics: "F--- judgment! You have more courage than any of those hatin motha f---as!!!!"

2011-01-27 | Ke$ha's ex-managers push for legal battle to end | Ke$ha's former managers are pushing for a resolution to their ongoing legal battle with the pop star - in case she squanders her fortune and can't afford a pay-out.
The TiK ToK hitmaker is facing legal action from her former representatives at DAS Communications, who are suing for £9.3 million over allegations she owes them commission for unlawfully terminating her contract before she signed a major music deal.
In new papers filed at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court, DAS bosses suggest the star may be delaying the case - and they fear she may be broke by the time the matter is resolved.
The documents, obtained by the New York Post, state: "(Ke$ha) is a very young and inexperienced artist whose 'star' may not continue to rise.
"Although she has made an incredible amount of money in a very short period of time, in large part due to DAS' efforts on her behalf, she could just as easily lose money if not properly guided."
Ke$ha is countersuing, claiming bosses at DAS Communications acted unlawfully during her time at the firm because they allegedly booked her a string of jobs in California without the proper paperwork. Source: Ananova |
2010-08-04 | Lady Gaga receives record VMA nods | Lady GaGa is set to dominate the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) - the pop star has landed a record-breaking 13 nominations.
The "Poker Face" hitmaker haul marks the most ever VMA nominations scored by one artist in a single year.
Gaga has received nods in a string of different categories including Best Pop Video, Best Dance Music Video, Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Collaboration.
The delighted singer says, "I'm so honoured for all the little monsters (fans) and self-professed freaks of the universe to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number - 13.
"A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous (sic). Thank you, MTV!"
Gaga will compete against herself in for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and the Video of the Year - her Video Phone collaboration with Beyonce will go head-to-head with Bad Romance in all three categories.
"Tik Tok" by Ke$ha, "California Gurls" by Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" will also compete for the Best Female Video award, while "California Gurls", "Tik Tok" and "Nothin' On You" by B.O.B. featuring Bruno Mars will also fight for the Best Pop Video honour.
Rap superstar Eminem, who landed eight nominations, will challenge Gaga for the coveted Video of the Year title with his single "Not Afraid", while the song will also battle for Best Male Video and Best Hip-Hop Video. Drake's star-studded "Forever", which features Eminem alongside Kanye West and Lil Wayne, is also a contender for Best Hip-Hop Video.
Meanwhile, Ke$ha's hit track has also scored the pop star a nod for the Best New Artist prize, going up against Justin Bieber ("Baby"), Jason Derulo ("In My Head"), Nicki Minaj ("Massive Attack") and Broken Bells ("The Ghost Inside").

2010-06-29 | Rihanna axes tour launch concert |
Rihanna has cancelled the opening concert of her upcoming tour later this week due to "poduction changes".
"The Umbrella" hitmaker was due to kick off her Last Girl On Earth Tour with Ke$ha and Travie McCoy at Auburn's White River Amphitheatre in Washington on Friday, but the show has been axed.
The trek will now commence on Sunday in Vancouver, Canada.
Tour promoters at Live Nation announced the news on Monday, blaming changes in production for the cancellation.
The scrapped show means Rihanna has a little extra time with boyfriend Matt Kemp, who has been handed a little downtime by his baseball team bosses at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The couple spent almost a month apart recently as Rihanna toured the world. The loved-up pair was inseparable at the weekend when Rihanna joined Kemp in Los Angeles for the opening of the Dodgers' series with the New York Yankees. Source: Ananova |
